La Joya ISD Media Release / Summer 2016 Free Meals

 

The La Joya Independent School District announces the sponsorship of the Texas Department od Agriculture Food & Nutrition Program. The Summer Food and Nutrition Program provides free meals at participating feeding sites to children 18 years of age and under.

Meals will be provided at the sites listed below:

Texas Public School Nutrition Policy and Smart Snack Regulations

La Joya ISD will follow all State and Federal regulations addressed.

All Texas schools operating in the National School Lunch Program must adhere to the Texas Public School Nutrition Policy (TPSNP). All schools in LJISD must adhere to the TPSNP in order to remain in compliance with the Texas Department of Agriculture. This includes the addition of Smart Snack Regulations.
